PAINTINGS from the early and late Renaissance period are on show in Canberra for a limited time.

Renaissance Masters features great Italian artworks by Raphael, Botticelli and Bellini at the National Gallery of Australia between December 9, 2011 and April 12, 2012.

Offering an opportunity to delve inside the 15th and 16th century, visitors will have the chance to appreciate the exquisite artistry talents of some of the world's past greats of all time, including Bellini's high degree of realism and one of his most famous depictions of Madonna and Child.
