BHP quashes reopening rumours
MINING giant BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance has been quick to quash speculation surrounding the possible reopening its mothballed Norwich Park operation.
A BMA spokesman said the company would continue to consider any way to revisit using the mine as a low-cost operation in the future, but that time was not at hand.
"BMA has no intention of recommencing operation of the Norwich Park Mine in the immediate future," she said.
"BMA made its plans for the Norwich Park Mine very clear to all stakeholders, including the unions. There has been no change to these plans."
