Girl, 17, airlifted from Gladstone after overdose

A 17-YEAR-OLD girl who suffered an overdose in Glastone on Friday morning has been airlifted to Rockhampton.

The RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue transported the patient from Gladstone Hospital.

The girl had called 000 early in the morning, but when ambulance officers responded there was no answer at the home.

The police were contacted and helped with entry.

Ambulance officers found the patient unconscious and unresponsive.

She was taken to Gladstone Hospital and stabilised.

Rescue 300's intensive care paramedic and doctor treated the girl before transporting her to Rockhampton in a stable condition.
