Rider has suspected broken leg after crash

A MOTORCYCLIST had to be transported to the Emerald Hospital after he crashed his black Triumph motorbike early yesterday morning.

The 26-year-old suffered suspected fractures to his leg.

The single-vehicle accident happened about 5am, 10km west of Comet on the Capricorn Hwy.

Police are investigating.

Man in serious conditionafter car runs into tree

A 31-YEAR-OLD had to be freed from his damaged Holden sedan after it ran into a tree on Loch St on Sunday night.

The single-vehicle accident happened at 9.30pm, leaving the driver - the sole occupant - partially trapped.

He was freed and transported to the Emerald Hospital in a serious condition with severe fractures and a possible

dislocation injury.

Police are investigating.

Pharmacy reports theft

THE Emerald Discount Drug store at Mayfair was broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said initial reports suggest the intruders used an object to smash a glass sliding door to gain entry.

After getting inside, the thieves made off with a quantity of drugs and a small amount of cash.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and ask anyone with information to contact the station on 4983 8100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Thieves dump boat and trailer in residential area

A SKI boat that was reported stolen more than a month ago, was located on Thursday.

The boat was recovered with the boat trailer in the Loch St area, not far from where it disappeared in March.

Police said it appeared the thieves had attempted to grind off identifiable markings before leaving it abandoned in a residential street.

Police are still investigating and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Graffiti on vehicle fails to impress the police

POLICE who received a report of a graffiti incident, have emphasised they are in no mood to tolerate such vandalism.

The incident happened overnight Saturday when a Toyota Hilux was sprayed with white paint.

The graffiti was not of an offensive nature, but police urge anyone with information to come forward.
