Up to 14 skiers and crew dead in Japanese bus crash

UP TO 14 tourists have been killed after a bus carrying 41 skiers and others has left a mountain road in central Japan.

Police have told Japanese broadcaster NHK that three of those on board are dead, and another 11 "show no vital signs"

The crash occurred at 2am local time on Friday in the Nagano Prefecture in Karuizawa Town.

Police say 27 others on the bus are being treated in hospital.
