2017 Guinness World Records revealed with 80% of records new

IT'S another big year for records as the 2017 Guinness World Records (GWR) have been unveiled.

New records include the world's youngest women to have a full beard, among others, with 80 per cent of this year's records being new, the ABC reports.

Pictures from the launch also included the world's largest domestic cat and the tallest female dog.

Friday's big reveal came after months of searching the world looking for the "best of the best", GWR said in a statement.

"It's been another outstanding year for record-breaking," editor-in-chief of GWR Craig Glenday said.

Body positivity campaigner and catwalk model Harnaam Kaur, 24, took out the title for the youngest woman in the world to have a full beard.

Ms Kaur, from  England, said being included was "absolutely humbling" after years of bullying.

9-year-old Caspa the llama took its place in the book with the highest jump by a llama at 1.13 metres.
