Father, daughter hit by out of control car in Mooloolaba

A YOUNG girl is faced with months of dental care after her front teeth were smashed when she was flung on to the concrete footpath by an out of control car.

The 11-year-old girl was riding a scooter with her dad, who was by her side on a bike, on Admirals Crt, Mooloolaba, when the pair was hit by the car on Saturday afternoon.

It was unclear if the vehicle was hooning at the time but residents said it was a problem in the area.

The girl was taken to Nambour General Hospital with neck injuries and damage to her teeth and gums and was discharged last night.
