86-year-old woman dies after being hit by motorcycle

A PEDESTRIAN has died in hospital after being struck by a motorcycle in Dianella on Monday night.

The crash occurred on Morley Drive at about 7.50pm when a black Kawasaki motorcycle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road near Tame Court.

The pedestrian, an 86-year-old woman from Dianella, suffered life threatening injuries.

She was taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital but she died from her injuries.

The rider, a 24-year-old man from Morley, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to RPH for treatment.

Major Crash officers are investigating the crash and have asked anyone with dash cam footage or information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
