Australian IS terrorist Khaled Sharrouf may be alive
AN AUSTRALIAN fighting with Islamic State who was believed killed by a drone strike last year may still be alive and living in Iraq.
Convicted terrorist Khaled Sharrouf made headlines when he appeared in an IS propaganda photo with his son holding the head of a beheaded man.
Reports in News Ltd papers yesterday indicated Sharrouf might still be alive.
The reports claim Sharrouf apparently tried to contact people in Sydney, making death threats in recent weeks.
But Foreign Minister Julie Bishop was unable to confirm the claims, as authorities have been unable to confirm reports of his death or his whereabouts if alive.
Reports last week said Sharrouf's wife Tara Nettleton died late last year from complications from surgery.
