Australia's hat-trick ruins Scotland's chances
RUGBY: Scotland's hopes a chalking up a hat-trick of wins against the Wallabies ended after Australia secured its own treble with a 21-15 win in Edinburgh yesterday.
Despite having seven players unavailable due to suspensions and injury, the depleted Wallabies scored the only two tries of the game through full-back Israel Folau and winger Chris Feauai-Sautia.
Christian Leali'ifano kicked a conversion and three penalties, but could have increased the winning margin had he not missed with five other attempts.
All of Scotland's points came from the boot of fly-half Greig Laidlaw who kicked five penalties.
The win was the third in a row for the Wallabies, the previous two being over Italy and Ireland, after the 20-13 loss to England at Twickenham in the first game of the Spring Tour.
The tour ends against European champions Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.
