Woman found injured beside road has died in hospital

A YOUNG woman, who was hit by her car on her way home from a dance party, has died in hospital.

The 24-year-old was found critically injured on the side of Showground Rd at Homebush on February 8.

She was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where died on Sunday morning.

A 20-year-old driver underwent mandatory drug and alcohol testing but was uninjured.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident.
