Tina Arena with a Youth Orchestra will dazzle the Highlands
TINA Arena is set to turn up the beat in the Highlands, the Australian superstar, recently named the nation's greatest female vocalist of all time, will take to the stage at two open air concerts performing some of her greatest hits supported by the Queensland Youth Orchestra.
Brought to the region by the Isaac and Central Highlands councils along with the Queensland Music Festival, QMF artistic director James Morrison said the opportunity to see an internationally acclaimed performer was one not to miss.
"Tina Arena has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard," Mr Morrison said.
Bring your blankets, chairs and a light to wave in the air as you watch the musical performance unfold on stage in Moranbah on Friday, July 12, at the Moranbah Town Square and then again in Emerald on Sunday, July 14, at the Emerald Showgrounds.
Isaac Mayor Anne Baker said it was an honour to welcome the songstress to the stage in Moranbah.
"This is a breath-taking opportunity to experience a world renowned artist and orchestra, which is usually reserved for the likes of Sydney,London and Paris," Cr Baker said.
"I urge people across the region to come and enjoy one of the best home-grown female vocalists of our time for free."
