Excellent prizes to be claimed

A STATE of Origin jersey signed by Queensland Captain Darren Lockyer after his last State of Origin game this year, and a bat signed by cricketing greats Allan Border and Matthew Hayden, are among the items to be auctioned at a gala beef industry and charity ball during Ekka Week.

The Hoofs, Horns and Heroes Gala Ball, hosted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland) in partnership with Beef Australia 2012, will be held at Suncorp Stadium on Friday, August 12 .

As well as the sporting memorabilia, the auction will include precious gems donated by Coolamon Mining at Sapphire, and a ride in a flight simulator at Boeing Training and Flight Services.

All proceeds raised will go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
