Accused murderer facing psychiatric tests

THE court proceedings relating to the murder and attempted murder of two Rockhampton men is still ongoing, with the accused having his matter adjourned again.

Sebastiano Garofalo has been charged with murder and attempted murder on top of three grievous bodily harm charges.

He is undergoing psychiatric assessments on April 15.

A brief of evidence was requested from the defence on the last grievous bodily harm charge, which related to a separate incident.

The other charges stem from an incident in September 2015 when two men were stabbed outside the Ozcare Homeless Hostel.

The prosecution are still awaiting medical evidence to arrive from Brisbane. The matter was adjourned until May 11 for a committal mention.
