Adele flips bird at Brit Awards
SOULFUL songstress Adele has defended flipping the bird at the Brit Awards, saying it went out "to the suits" behind the event.
The 23-year-old artist was making her acceptance speech after winning one of her two awards (album of the year and best British female solo artist), when the host tried to cut her off, the Daily Mail reports.
"I'm so proud to be flying the British flag for all of you," she told the audience, before the host, James Corden, met by boos from the crowd, appeared on stage to introduce Blur and said: "I'm so sorry, can I just cut off?"
Adele replied: "Are you about to cut me off? Can I just say then, goodbye and I'll see you next time round."
She then flipped the middle finger in a show of frustration.
