Ag-Grow postponed until tomorrow

AN overnight deluge forced organisers at Emerald's Ag-Grow to postpone today's proceedings.

But don't despair as tomorrow's field day will go ahead rain, hail or shine according to event spokesman Geoff Dein.

"We're going to need a lot more rain to stuff this up," Mr Dein said earlier this morning.

The main problem lies in gaining access to the Ag Grow site, with continuous rainfall overnight Monday turning the carpark and its approaches into mud-slicked quagmire.

Mr Dein said they were working frantically to provide a safe and accessible route in and out of the site for Ag Grow visitors.

"It will certainly be on Wednesday," he said.
