Amber Heard takes out restraining order on Johnny Depp

AMBER Heard has claimed Johnny Depp physically assaulted her and has been granted a restraining order against him days after filing for divorce.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carl H. Moor ordered Depp to stay 100 yards away from his estranged wife.

Heard said in a sworn declaration Depp threw her phone at her during a fight on Saturday, striking her cheek and eye.

She said the actor was high and drunk when he pulled her hair, screamed at her, repeatedly hit her and violently grabbed her face.

"I live in fear that Johnny will return to (our house) unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally," Heard wrote in a sworn declaration.

She appeared in court with a bruise on her face, alleging Depp has been violent towards her on multiple occasions, TMZ reports.

The website said it had obtained a picture of Heard with a bruise around her eye which she submitted when she applied for the restraining order.

The actress claims the Pirates of the Caribbean star offered her money to stay quiet, according to TMZ.

She instead filed for divorce on Monday morning on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.

Judge Moor said Depp should not contact Heard until a hearing is conducted on 17 June.

He also rejected Heard's request Depp attend a year's worth of anger management classes and the protective order extend to her dog.

Heard's filing alleges a history of abuse throughout her relationship with Depp, which started after they met on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary.

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me," she wrote.

"I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him."

Heard's filing also states the fight was preceded by an incident in April in which the actor missed her birthday party and later showed up high and drunk and pushed her to the floor. She wrote she did not see the actor for another month afterwards.

Depp earlier released a statement amid reports he did not have a prenup agreement in place and Heard was seeking spousal support.

The statement said: "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.

"Hopefully, the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

Depp's representatives have been approached for comment.
