Man rushed to hospital after snake bite to leg

A man in his 50s is in hospital after being bitten by a snake at a location near Churchable this morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service report the incident occurred at about 9:40am.

Paramedics at the scene on Main Green Swamp Rd treated the patient for a bite to his leg.

He was later taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.

The type of snake involved in the attack is not known at this stage.
