Another hot weekend ahead
THE HOT weather experienced in the region this week will continue over the weekend.
Central Queensland residents will be able to enjoy an activity filled two days in the sunshine.
In Emerald the mercury is tipped to hit 30 on Saturday and rise to 31 on Sunday.
Weatherzone meteorologist Rob Sharpe said it will be a beautiful sunny weekend in the region.
"It is looking like a sunny weekend with no rain and barely any cloud,” he said.
The sunny weather will subside briefly on Monday when a low pressure trough moves through the region.
This will bring showers and possible thunderstorms to the area late on Monday.
Mr Sharpe said Monday will be the only day rain will occur in the coming days.
"The rain will clear up on Tuesday, leaving the region with a mostly sunny outlook and temperatures around 31 degrees until Wednesday,” he said.
"From Tuesday, mostly sunny weather should prevail.”
Temperatures will stay level during the week with the maximum temperatures around 31 degrees until Wednesday.
There won't be much relief from the heat either, there will only be a slight breeze on Monday as the trough moves through.
