SCREEN legend Anthony LaPaglia has confirmed his engagement to his much younger girlfriend, Alexandra Henkel.
Henkel, 28, sported a huge diamond rock given to her by LaPaglia, 58, at a glamorous party for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, held in Melbourne on Thursday night.
LaPaglia and wife Gia Carides announced in March 2015 that they had split after 17 years together.
The former Without A Trace star three months later revealed that he was dating Henkel, who is 30 years his junior.
LaPaglia and Henkel looked loved-up on the red carpet, kissing and hugging for the cameras.
Also in attendance were Neighbours star Olympia Valance, Nadia Bartel and Tessa James.
Meantime, LaPaglia told the Herald Sun last year that he did not consider his marriage to Big Little Lies actor Carides as a "failure”.
"People say 'it's failed' ... My attitude is that it didn't,” LaPaglia said.
"Twenty years is a long time for any relationship and so many positive and great things came out of it - my daughter being one of them ... It's an emotionally tough thing to go through but it happens and it's about adjusting to the fact that people change, life changes,” he said.
LaPaglia and Carides share custody of their 15-year-old daughter, Bridget.
