APN announces new regional CEO

APN CEO Brett Chenoweth this morning announced media veteran Warren Bright will be the CEO of APN's Australian Regional Media.

Mr Bright has a strong history of building and leading media businesses through rapidly growing and competitive markets.

"His entrepreneurial approach and digital media experience will be a tremendous asset to our businesses in Queensland and Northern NSW," Mr Chenoweth said.

"Our strength in Australian regional markets provides an ideal opportunity for Warren to work with APN’s leadership team to grow and expand the business.

"Warren is an accomplished senior executive and has held CEO, COO and board member positions for more than 10 years."

Prior to joining APN Mr Bright was the Director of Profit Drivers, a business advisory and consulting firm that he founded to pursue entrepreneurial activities. Clients included major Australian media businesses, leading Australian real estate groups and AdPerfect, an advertising software solution for newspaper publishers.

He has also worked at international consultancy McKinsey and Company.

Mr Bright will start his position on May 16 and will report directly to Mr Chenoweth.
