Apology to Joel Lye

WE yesterday published for a short time a story online which carried a photograph of a man we said was Benjamin Graham Hall.

Mr Hall, aged 20, pleaded guilty this week in Ipswich District Court to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm while adversely affected.

However, the photograph was not of Mr Hall, but of 22-year-old Joel Lye.

We would like to make it clear that Mr Lye was not facing any charges in relation to this incident, and indeed was not involved in the case in any way.

We unreservedly apologise to Mr Lye for erroneously publishing a photograph of him, and for any embarrassment it may have caused to him.
