Brisbane bayside siege resolved

A SIEGE in Brisbane's Manley West is over.

The man at its centre is now with police.

A woman received minor injuries as part as a "disturbance" at the property on Daisy Rd, according to police.

 

Armed man in Manly West siege

A MAN has kept police at bay for more than nine hours, as a siege unfolds on the bayside.

Police were called to Daisy Road in Manly West about 9.20pm on Tuesday following reports of a disturbance.

A woman had been assaulted at the property and had suffered minor injuries, police said.

Witnesses have told police the man is armed with a gun.

Specialist police have closed off Daisy Road and declared an emergent situation.
