RUGBY UNION: Australia coach Andy Friend has made just one change to his squad for this weekend's Singapore Sevens from the one that finished third in Hong Kong.
Boyd Killingworth failed concussion protocols and is replaced by Dylan Pietsch as 13th man.
Hong Kong was Australia's best finish on the sevens world series this season, having finished fourth in Sydney and fifth in Dubai last year.
"This group has continued to improve and last week marked a real turning point for the side, showing that they can beat top-four teams when they back themselves," Friend said.
"The challenge now is to not rest on our laurels and lift our performance this week in Singapore.
"Australia has not won a tournament since Tokyo 2012 and it is a goal this team strives to achieve every time we run out to play."
With three rounds remaining on the circuit, Australia (79 points) is in hot pursuit of a top-four finish, with the side in sixth position behind the United States (82 points) and New Zealand (97 points).
Today: Australia v Samoa, 1.22pm; Australia v Kenya, 4.22pm; Australia v Argentina, 8.18pm (times AEST)
