ONE of the biggest names in Aussie rock will hit the stage at Springfield this month.

After nine years criss-crossing the country playing live shows, hardworking Australian band Thirsty Merc is hitting the road again and will wow fans in Ipswich with a show at the Spring Lake Hotel on September 29.

In celebration of their latest album, Mousetrap Heart, the band is extending its current Rock Ya Socks Off tour to a national run.

Their latest album includes hit singles Mousetrap Heart and All My Life.

Bass player Phil Stack said the video for All My Life was shot in Bangkok and was a love story set on a Thailand military base.

The video features Thai army troops, as well as Iroquois and Chinook helicopters.

It was directed by Adrian Van de Velde, who also directed the bands ARIA-nominated clip In the Summertime.

Stack said having Van de Velde gave them unprecedented access.

"We were stoked with how it came out," Stack said.

The band has more than 300 live shows under its belt.

Tickets to the Springfield show are $27.
