A B-double has crashed off the side of the Bruce Hwy near Aldershot, spilling diesel over the road.

Sergeant Trevor Ferling of the Maryborough Police Communications Centre said no one was injured in the incident early Monday morning.

He said police and fire crews worked at the scene to direct traffic and clean up the diesel spill after three of the truck's four fuel tanks burst in the crash.

"The Environmental Protection Agency has been notified of the diesel spill," Sgt Ferling.

Traffic control was in place at the crash site at 9am on Monday.
