Robbers armed with metal poles no match for baker

TWO armed males failed in their attempt to rob a Goodna bakery in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At 3am a juvenile and a man entered the bakery in Queen St and demanded money.

One of the robbers was armed with a metal fence pole.

The owner of the bakery then chased the duo out of his shop.

They left empty handed.

The Child Protection Investigation Unit investigated the incident and they have apprehended the youth who will be dealt with by the Youth Justice Court.

The male is still at large and police are continuing their enquiries.
