Baker scares off would-be robbers

POLICE are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a bakery at Tugun early this morning.

Two men, each armed with a knife, entered the front doors of the bakery about 4.30am and demanded money from the baker.

The baker went to the back of the building and returned with a knife.

The offenders then fled without any money or property. Nobody was injured in the incident.

The men are described as being about 183cm tall, of proportionate build and were wearing hoodie jumpers.
