AUSTRALIANS Bronte Barratt and Kylie Palmer have qualified for the final of the women's 200 metre freestyle.
Barratt qualified fastest for the final with a 1:56:08 while Palmer was excited just to be a part of the final after setting a time of 1:57:44.
"I'm so relieved I'm in the final," Palmer said.
"Theres not much better than making an Olympic final."
Barratt swam a composed race, knowing there was a tougher test to come, with a showdown against Italian superstar Federica Pellegrini the drawcard.
"Really wasn't worried about time, I just wanted to go out and race it," Barratt said.
"I knew I could come home over the top."
