South Australia paceman Kane Richardson said his fellow bowlers were looking forward to playing Tasmania on a bigger outfield than his team's previous three matches in today's Matador Cup clash at Blacktown Oval.

The Redbacks sit third with two wins from three games, but have played all their previous games at the smaller grounds of North Sydney Oval and Hurstville Oval.

"I think our spinners will definitely be looking forward to it - we've had three tough games on small boundaries," said Richardson.

"So I think this brings them into the game."

Richardson, who had a blistering start with two wickets in his first two balls in his last game - a thrilling one-wicket win against Queensland - said his team's next two games were vital.

"It's a really big game for us to win (against the fourth-placed Tasmania), and then we have Victoria on Friday who are a really good team as well," he said.
