The three - a corporal, captain and lance corporal - were killed and seven others were wounded in Afghanistan at 8.30am (about 3pm AEDT) on Saturday after an Afghan national soldier opened fire on a regular parade.

The incident occurred at Forward Operating Base Pacemaker in the Shah Wali Kot area of Kandahar province.
