Bobcat ducks out, may not return

A BOBCAT has pulled a swifty on her keepers after escaping from the National Zoo at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC on Monday. Ollie (pictured) was last seen about 7.30am but disappeared before feeding time three hours later. Staff hope to lure Ollie back but it won't be easy. Spokeswoman Pamela Baker-Masson said bobcats are "very elusive” and "it will be very, very difficult to find her”. Ollie is unlikely to be a threat to people. Bobcats eat small animals and look similar to domestic cats, but stand 30cm at the shoulder and weigh 7kg.
