BODY IDENTIFIED: Calls for help spark ID of hinterland body

DETECTIVES have been able to successfully identify the body of a man pulled from a hinterland creek on Thursday evening.

The man's body was pulled from Obi Obi Creek in Maleny and a call for public assistance sparked a positive identification.

A police spokesman said the death had been deemed non-suspicious and the crime scene had been finalised, with a report now being prepared for the coroner.
