Booral mum, 35, wins inked beauty contest in the Bay

WHEN she was 21, Booral mum of two Aimee Robins entered a bikini competition.

She is now 35 and hadn't entered another modelling competition since - but on Saturday night she walked the stage for the Inked Beauties contest at Hervey Bay Hotel and won first prize.

The stunning mum of 10-year-old Harlow and Mea, 1, said she was "pretty stoked" to be named the winner of the event.

Harlow was also impressed with mum's effort.

"She said 'yay mum!' when I told her," Aimee said.

Aimee will travel to Mooloolaba on June 13 to compete in the finals of Inked Beauties along with five other girls from Saturday night's event, including Jesse Taylor from Gladstone who came second on Saturday night and Grace Crossland of Childers, who was third.

They will be competing against girls from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane at the event, Aimee said.

The purpose of the event was to show girls with tattoos were beautiful and elegant.

Organiser Samantha Plant said it was a great success, with between 400 and 500 people attending the event.
