Booze looted from store in the wake of Ex TC Marcia

POLICE are investigating the theft of liquor in the Cooee Bay area near Yeppoon.

Investigations indicate the 11 bottles were stolen from a local liquor outlet left insecure following Tropical Cyclone Marcia.
Patrolling police found a 17-year-old male and two juvenile males with the bottles about 2am.

Investigations are continuing.

Additional police have been moved from Mackay and Rockhampton to Yeppoon to ensure the safety and security of the area.

Similar security patrols are also being conducted in Rockhampton.
