Boy hit by car on Southside

A YOUNG boy has avoided serious injury after being hit by a car on the Southside.

A witness said that the boy had been riding a scooter at the time of the incident, which happened at the corner of Woolgar and Ramsey roads about 3.45pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said he was treated at the scene for "pain in his knee" and has been taken to hospital.
