UPDATE: Police allegedly find equipment used to make meth

UPDATE, 12.30PM: Detectives from Maryborough's Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant on Wednesday morning at a Dundowran address.

The search located production equipment associated with the alleged production of methylamphetamine, according to a statement from Queensland Police Media.

A number of people are currently assisting police with their ongoing inquiries.

There is no further information available at this time.

EARLIER: A crime scene has been established at a rural property where a suspected meth lab has allegedly been discovered near Hervey Bay.

The Chronicle understands raids were carried out at the Dundowran address on Wednesday morning.

Several people who were at the property have been taken to the Hervey Bay Police Station for questioning.

Detectives remain on scene.
