BREAKING NEWS: Two people, a young man and a woman have been burned after a cooking fire at a home in the middle of Gympie.

Ambulance crews responded to the scene just after 6pm tonight, with reports of burns, possibly from cooking oil.

According to ambulance media, a 21-year-old man has received serious burns to the face, while an 18-year-old woman has received superficial burns to her body.
