TWO pieces of Peter Brock history will go under the hammer at the Shannons Auction that will run in conjunction with the Melbourne motor show that opens on July 1.
The first is last car Brock raced on a circuit, the Holden FX "Goodwood Special".
He drove the restored 1953 machine at the legendary Goodwood Revival in England before flying back for the fateful Targa West rally event in 2006 where he died after hitting a tree at high speed.
The second car is a 1964 Holden EH sedan custom built by the same team that restored the FX.
The EH Holden is finished in the same green and yellow paint scheme as the FX and was meant to be driven by Brock at Goodwood in 2007.
The FX is expected to fetch between $300,000 and $350,000 while the EH is tipped to go for between $70,000 and $85,000.
Brock Commodores - those produced as part of the Holden Dealer Team and bearing Brock's signature and performance modifications - are highly sought after muscle car memorabilia.
Many Brock Commodores sell for tens of thousands of dollars, with some even reaching six figures.
