Broncos among players heading back to school

FRESH off the news the annual All Stars pre-season game will be played in Brisbane next year, plenty of Queensland kids are in for a treat with numerous schools to receive visits from NRL stars.

The Broncos will send players such as Darius Boyd (pictured) and Travis Waddell to visit 22 schools across Emerald today, while the Cowboys and Titans will visit schools across Cairns on Friday, as part of the Community Carnival.

NRL Community Ambassadors including Petero Civoniceva and Nathan Hindmarsh will also spend three days in Warwick in Queensland's south-east, visiting 25 schools and hosting three come-and-try clinics.

Players will also visit schools across New South Wales, New Zealand and Melbourne.

The community message of this year's event is wellbeing, focussing on everything from nutrition and healthy eating to the importance of regular exercise.
