AFTER days of silence and speculation, Member for Fisher Mal Brough tonight revealed he will not challenge Tony Abbott for the Prime Minister's job.

Speaking to media at Brightwater Hotel last night after addressing local GPs about the Medicare co-payment issue, Mr Brough told the press he had no intention of challenging Mr Abbott for the leadership of the LNP, and the country.

While firm in hosing down speculation he was considering a run at the title, Mr Brough refused to offer his unwavering support for the embattled PM.

"Do I unequivocally support the Prime Minister? No I don't," Mr Brough said.
