New Bruce Highway traffic crawl created by folk fans
COMMUTERS travelling north of Brisbane are experiencing significant traffic delays due to the Woodford Folk Festival.
Traffic was banked up from the Caboolture turn off on the Bruce Highway to North Lakes as festival-goers make their way to the five-day event.
Police said that there was no indication of an accident in the area that could be contributing to delays.
Commuters are being urged to avoid the area if possible as delays are expected for several hours.
Southbound traffic on the Pacific Motorway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast has also experienced congestion.
If you're heading out of Brisbane today factor in some extra travel time. Congestion on the M1 and Bruce Highway. #bnetraffic #qldtraffic pic.twitter.com/B0piaDg2tJ
