Bruce Hwy double crash horror: 4 in hospital, 1 serious

BREAKING: A motorist is in a serious condition and three others are in hospital after two multi-vehicle smashes on the Bruce Hwy in 40 minutes.

One person has been taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on the Bruce Hwy at Burpengary just after noon.

Paramedics were called to the crash on the Bruce Hwy on ramp at Deception Bay Rd where three people were injured.

Two patients with chest pain were taken to Caboolture Hospital.

Less than 40 minutes later three vehicles collided in the south-bound lanes of the Bruce Hwy 1km north of the Morayfield exit.

Four people were checked over at the scene and a woman in her mid-twenties was taken to Caboolture Hospital.

The crash caused partial lane closures in southbound lanes near the Captain Whish Bridge over Caboolture River at Morayfield.
