BASKETBALL: The NBA season has come crashing down on Australian pair Matthew Dellavedova and Thon Maker, but not without a fight.

Their Milwaukee Bucks suffered a 92-89 home loss to the Toronto Raptors, who in turn took the series 4-2 to move into the Eastern Conference semi-finals against Cleveland.

But the visitors were made to work after leading 71-46 in the third quarter.

The Bucks went on a 20-3 run, and even took the lead 80-78 with three minutes left, before the Raptors regained control.

Giannis Antetokounmpo downed 34 points for the Bucks, with Dellavedova grabbing 12 points, along with four rebounds and four assists. Maker had five blocks.

DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 32 points.

Patty Mills' San Antonio Spurs, meanwhile, progressed after a 103-96 win to wrap up their series against the Memphis Grizzlies 4-2.

Mills scored 10 points as the Spurs advanced to the Western Division semi-finals.
