Buderim man charged with drug trafficking

A SUNSHINE Coast man has been charged with three counts of trafficking dangerous drugs under the Drugs Misuse Act following an investigation into the sale of alleged synthetic cannbinoids by police.

The 50-year-old Buderim man has also been charged with three counts of unauthorised supplying of a controlled drug (Health Regulations), one count of possession of tainted property (Drugs Misuse Act), one count of possession of things used for the commission of a drug offence (Drugs Misuse Act) and forgery (Criminal Code).

The charges follow a protracted, eight month investigation into the sale of alleged synthetic cannabinoids from adult store retail outlets throughout Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Burnett Regions in 2014 and 2015.

He has been released on bail to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 16, 2015.
