Buyers rush to Coast’s first beach resort in 15 years
The first days of sales at the Sunshine Coast's first beach resort in 15 years has attracted a "crazy" amount of interest.
WOW Property Group on Monday launched Lowanna Beach Resort's 117 off-the-plan apartments to the market ahead of construction starting at the luxury Buddina development.
Apartments are priced from $399,900 to $1.4m and within two days attracted interest from locals, Brisbane residents and interstate.
Director Lorna Willis said she was thrilled to finally reveal the vision for the $85m resort.
"What we've designed is effortless and enjoyable living that has been inspired by the natural surroundings and the culture of the Sunshine Coast," Ms Willis said.
She said the resort, to be constructed near Kawana Shopping World between Lowanna Dr and Bermagui Cres, was designed to have a modern and coastal feel.
"We chose the location at Buddina … because of its proximity to so many positive lifestyle aspects and we couldn't go past the opportunity to buy in what has been a tightly held region for decades," Ms Willis said.
"We were thrilled to see that it has recently been one of the Sunshine Coast's best performing suburbs for growth and sales records."
At a request of Sunshine Coast Council the development will feature a pedestrian thoroughfare to be named Sandy Toes Lane.
Ms Willis said it would be the Coast's first purpose-built laneway to connect foot traffic between the beach and the urban centre.
Ms Willis said the apartments would be sold at a range of price points starting at $399,900.
She said they featured large living areas, balconies, plenty of storage and luxurious shared resort facilities including yoga lawn, BBQ, pool and clubhouse.
Construction is expected to start this year.
