Alleged knifemen to face court after servo heist

UPDATE: Ipswich police have charged two people following investigations into the robbery of a service station at Dinmore on July 30.

It will be alleged, around 2.20am two males armed with knives entered a Brisbane Rd business and threatened a male employee before fleeing with cash.

The employee, a 20-year-old man, was not physically injured during the incident.

An 18-year-old Riverview man has been charged with armed robbery and will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with armed robbery and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

EARLIER: Police are on the hunt for two men who threatened the life of a service station attendant.

The men, both wearing hoodies, entered the Dinmore service station at 2.20am on Saturday.

Both were wielding large knives and threatened the attendant, who alerted police.

The dog squad was called to the scene but were unable to capture the men, who fled on foot with a sum of cash and cigarettes.

A QPS media spokesperson said the attendant suffered no injuries and investigations were continuing.
