Cashed-up Cuesta pushes project
A JUNIOR miner is making an aggressive exploration push into coal-bearing country less than 20km from Emerald.
Cashed-up Cuesta Coal has targeted its West Emerald Project for fast-tracking of approval of an exploration permit application as part of eight strategic tenements in the region.
Cuesta, which raised $20 million when it listed on the stock exchange in May, has staked its claim on extensions of coal seams at Rio Tinto's Valeria Project, south of Capella, and Shenhuo International Group's Taraborah Project, which straddles the Capricorn Hwy.
The West Emerald Project has an exploration target of 50-200 mega tonnes and is hoping to intersect quality coking coal.
