Catch 150 years policing celebrations via Live Video Stream

QUEENSLAND police are celebrating 150 years of service with action starting today.

There is a parade in Brisbane with pre-parade entertainment planned to kick off at 4.30pm.

Pre-Parade entertainment includes a performance by the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums and Vintage Uniform Display.

The formal ceremony will commence at 5.00pm and will include a  Parade of Uniformed Officers, Queensland Police Pipes and Drums, Mounted Unit, Dog Squad, QP150 vehicle, Fatal 5 vehicles and motorcycles commencing at 5.00pm.

A presentation of the Queensland Police Banner by Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency, Ms. Penelope Wensley, AC and the Presentation of Key to the City by Lord Mayor of Brisbane, The Right Honourable Councillor Graham Quirk is also form part of the first major Queensland Police Sesquicentenary event to be held in King George Square, Brisbane.

If you are unable to be in Brisbane for this event, you can watch the festivities anywhere in Queensland.
