Chance of a lifetime for juniors

CENTRAL Highlands rugby league juniors are being offered the opportunity to be centre stage at the 2011 NRL Grand Final and present the winners of the 2011 Telstra Premiership with their grand final premiership rings on Sunday, October 2.

In addition, the winning team will become part of the action during the biggest week on the NRL calendar with the major prize including a trip to Sydney to attend the NRL grand final breakfast and receiving a special Telstra footy kit to wear on match day.

Well-known rugby league commentators Ray Hadley and Ray Warren have thrown their support behind the search for a local junior rugby league team.

“I’ve been calling the game for four decades now and it’s still an absolute thrill to broadcast the grand final each year and see first-hand the passion the day evokes for every fan and spectator,” Warren said.

“I’m sure the youngsters that end up winning this amazing prize will remember the week for the rest of their lives”

Junior rugby league teams are invited to enter via www.rugbyleaguelive.com by posting a video entry to the question of what rugby league means to their community. Entries close on Friday, September 16.

Rugby league fans and junior teams are also encouraged to listen to 2GB and The Continuous Call team each weekend between August 13 and September 16, with Hadley who will announce the minor prize-winning club that will score a Telstra Junior Rugby League pack for entering the promotion.
